My name is Leigh and lead chaos creator here on the homestead. I am the proud owner of Steel Raven Farms with my husband Jared. We have two wonderful boys, four dogs, two cats, four bearded dragons, a snake, plus our farm animals. We currently have five goats, nine adult chickens, and twenty two chicks.
For 2022 we are growing our homestead to include twenty ducks, five turkeys, two more goats, and rabbits. Mainly because we are insane and love chaos.
I have been asked several times “What’s with the chaos creator moniker?” Well, I come up with the ideas, which creates chaos until we figure out what we are doing. Poor Jared just rolls with it.
What will you see on this site?
As you go through this site, you will find our blog posts that will outline what we are doing, how it’s working, hacks that we have found and general things that make our lives easier. You will also see affiliate links that help us make a little bit of money, but costs you nothing. This helps us keep this site and our homestead running.
You’ll also see our General Store. This store has not only the products that we have bought to get our homestead running like; cast iron, brooding supplies, and other items we feel are extremely helpful. But you will also see merchandise and homemade products as well.
